FAQ
A closer look at who we are, what we do, and what it’s like to work with us.
Firm
-
BG Studio is an award-winning, WBE-certified design firm specializing in upscale hospitality, multi-family residential, commercial interiors, and cruise and yacht design.
For more than twenty years we have carried the same idea from one project to the next: a space should tell a story its guests want to be part of. That is as true of a 100-guest expedition yacht as it is of a city lobby.
-
Hotels and resorts, cruise ships and yachts, multi-family residences and their amenity spaces, restaurants and bars, and commercial interiors.
We work at every scale, from a single suite category to the full interiors of a new-build ship.
-
Our studio is in New York City, with a European office in Athens, Greece. We work with owners, operators and shipyards around the world.
Services
-
Interior architecture and design from concept through completion: space planning, design development, FF&E specification and procurement coordination, construction documentation and site supervision.
-
Yes. We can lead a project from the first brief to the final walkthrough, or join an existing team for a defined phase. Either way, one design lead stays with the project throughout.
-
With a conversation. We learn about the place, the people it is for and the ambitions behind it, then come back with a proposal for scope, schedule and fees.
Working Together
-
We set both at the start, together, and design to them. Cost and schedule are reviewed at every phase, so there are no surprises at the end.
-
Plans change; good design adapts. We revisit scope, schedule and fees with you whenever the brief moves, and document every change so the whole team works from the same page.
-
Often. We regularly collaborate with architects of record, naval architects, shipyards, contractors and brand teams, and are used to fitting into an existing structure.
